Warner Bros. Movie Brings $6 Million Hollywood Boom to El Paso
· NewsTalk 1290It’s been a few months since the release of the highly anticipated film, ‘One Battle After Another,’ but El Paso is still on cloud nine after getting the special Hollywood treatment from the Paul Thomas Anderson film.
In case you missed it: El Paso played a major role in Warner Bros. Pictures’ new Paul Thomas Anderson film, One Battle After Another, because our beautiful city was where the majority of the movie was filmed. If you saw the movie you may have noticed iconic El Paso locations including Downtown El Paso streets, stores, and of course our border.
According to a press release from Destination El Paso, the film brought close to $6 million in direct spending to the Sun City while filming right here in the Borderland. The production prepped for two months and filmed for 18 days across El Paso in May and June 2024, with most shoots happening at night. But behind the scenes? Local vendors were thriving. We’re talking car rentals, catering services, hotel stays, off-duty police, props, wardrobe, and even lumber purchases which were all sourced locally.
