The Guide, recognising some of the world's best food spots, announced this year's honours at a ceremony in Dublin and although dozens of chefs welcomed the results, it was bad luck for others.

Dublin’s Chapter One by Mickael Viljanen was thought to be in with a chance of earning its third star this evening, but the restaurant and its two-star peers missed out.

Dublin restaurant Forest Avenue and Galway restaurant The Pullman have both been awarded one stars at the Michelin Guide Ceremony in Dublin.
