Rob Reiner directed Wilson in the comedies North and The Story of Us, and they were castmates in a further two movies, Sleepless in Seattle and Mixed Nuts.

Rita Wilson wrote a tribute to Rob and Michele Reiner on Wednesday, saying the couple "made the world a better place."
