Jana Nayagan earned Rs 10.15 crore net in India on its first Monday. The fall from Sunday still pushed Vijay's final film past Rs 230 crore worldwide in five days.

Jana Nayagan Box Office Collection Worldwide Day 5 Live Updates: The total India net collection of Vijay's film has reached Rs 134.90 crore, while the India gross collection stands at Rs 157.74 crore. Worldwide, the film has grossed Rs 233.24 crore.

Amid Jana Nayagan's box office debate, director H Vinoth said box-office numbers alone cannot define a film. He pointed to past underperformers by major directors and said a film's value can be recognised over time.
