By Sunday, the Warner Bros. earned $30 million over the traditional weekend, good enough for a first-place finish for the weekend. Based on the novel by Alice Hoffman, the film followed magical sisters Sally and Gillian Owens, young witches who work to break a generational curse that kills any man they fall in love with.
