The New York Times says the story at the center of actor Justin Baldoni’s $250 million lawsuit against the paper was "meticulously and responsibly reported."

Justin Baldoni's lawyer is speaking out amid the actor's drama with It Ends With Us costar Blake Lively. Confirming that Baldoni, 40, "absolutely" has plans to countersue Lively, 37, attorney Bryan Freedman told NBC News' Liz Kreutz in a new interview that Baldoni had no intentions of coordinating a smear campaign against the actress despite her allegations otherwise. "One hundred percent no," Freedman claimed. "Justin Baldoni, from the get-go, said, ‘I don't want to do anything negative toward her. I don't want to hurt her.'" Freedman previously denied Lively's "outrageous" claims in a statement to Us Weekly after she accused Baldoni of sexual harassment on the set of their movie, which debuted last summer. Baldoni subsequently filed a $250 million lawsuit against The New York Times for libel regarding their reporting on Lively's accusations.
