New Delhi: Scientists in WWA have determined that human-caused climate change caused the heat wave in Europe, where temperatures have shattered previous records.

In fact, they described the event as “virtually impossible” without global warming before industrial times.

Scientific study concluded this June heat-wave had a less than 1% chance in a pre-industrial climate, they discovered that the probability of such an extreme heat event has increased by 100 times.

The heat wave currently impacting the continent pushed temperatures 3.5 degrees Celsius hotter than the average for July.

The extreme heat has significantly hampered daily life in France, Germany, the UK, Italy, and Spain – schools and businesses were closed.

The health care system was stretched, health services for the public had a negative effect, and roads and rails experienced damage that delayed train schedules.

Experts warn that as greenhouse gas emissions increase as a result of continuing burning of fossil fuels, it will become easier for heat-waves and more severe other kinds of weather to occur.

So they recommend governments to speed up efforts against climate change and adopt some measures to protect against extreme temperatures in the future.
