Jan. 30 (UPI) -- Stranded NASA astronauts Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore conducted a spacewalk outside of the International Space Center on Thursday for maintenance.

NASA on Wednesday (local time) said it was working with billionaire Elon Musk's SpaceX to safely return the astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore, who are for months struck at International Space Station (ISS), back home "as soon as practical.

NASA astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore removed a broken ISS antenna during their first spacewalk together. Williams set a new female spacewalking record, extending their mission due to Starliner delays.

On Tuesday night, Trump said he had asked Elon Musk's SpaceX to return two NASA astronauts from the International Space Station, who were already scheduled to fly back on a SpaceX capsule in March.
