A woman is suspected to have died of Guillain-Barr syndrome (GBS) in Maharashtra on Wednesday, while 16 new cases of the rare nerve disorder were reported in the state, health officials said.

According to Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme by the Public Health Department, 130 suspected cases and two suspected deaths of GBS have been found in the State. Among the 130 patients, 20 are on ventilator. The three new cases reported are from previous days.
