Jack Schlossberg rants about newly released assassination files
by SONYA GUGLIARA FOR DAILYMAIL.COM · Mail OnlineJohn F. Kennedy's grandson Jack Schlossberg slammed CNN reporters for discussing newly released JFK files in a heated social media rant.
The loose cannon Kennedy has taken a firm stance against Donald Trump's decision to make more than 80,000 documents from JFK's 1963 assassination investigation publicly accessible.
Schlossberg has even called out journalists who have spoken about the previously classified pages - urging them to cover 'actual news' in a post on Tuesday.
'You're better than this. This is so f**king stupid,' Schlossberg said while panting and sweating in front of a gym's television.
A CNN segment with a 'breaking news' banner reading 'Trump releases thousands of JFK assassination record' was displayed on the screen behind him.
'There's so much actual news going on, why are you covering this? At least report that something happened,' he continued.
The left wing activist went on to say he 'loves' CNN's Harry Enten and Erin Burnett - the reporters he aimed his verbal attack at - and said they are both 'really smart.'
He also captioned the video: 'It's a choice - but I still respect them both.'
'Stop! This is why this sh*t takes hold. Because you guys f**cking cover it over and over and over again,' he said at the end of the video posted on X and Instagram.
Schlossberg asked 'why are you covering this?' four times within the 25-second clip.
Before sharing the video, he addressed CNN, MSNBC and 'WHATEVER' other networks, telling them they 'don't need to cover the fake JFK documents story.'
The 32-year-old continued on his crusade against Trump's choice to publish the files several X posts on Wednesday.
During a passionate written spiel, he bashed Trump and US Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who is also his cousin.
'President Trump is obsessed with my grandfather - but not in his life or what he achieved in it. No, just like @robertfkennedyjr @realdonaldtrump is only interested in JFK's carcass,' Schlossberg asserted on X.
'These men are stealing history from present and future generations - by appropriating the past for their criminal agenda, they normalize themselves in the minds of those without living memory.
He also said that laws, agencies and efforts supported by the 35th president - including the civil rights act and USAID - have been dismantled by the Trump administration.
Schlossberg continued: 'JFK fought fascism and communism. Trump is selling us out to tech warlords, at home and abroad.
'JFK stood behind unions and labor, demanding healthcare, higher pay. Trump is stripping working families from lifesaving care, financial support.
'JFK celebrated the arts and culture. Trump attacks artist’s identities, took over the Kennedy center just to empty it out and pave it gold.'
Schlossberg also threw digs at conservative commentator and Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk for posts he made about the files.
Kirk posted a link to the National Archives, where the documents can be accessed, captioned 'BREAKING: The JFK files are out! Take a look.'
Schlossberg commented a snarky response: 'Here’s what I found - You’re too scared to debate me on my terms on my YouTube show. True or false?'
He later following up: 'In my opinion Charlie Kirk @charliekirk11 may have been born with a rare condition that makes you so severely unattractive...
'That you end up becoming a right wing media personality. And that's just good for the world.'
Schlossberg has also claimed his family - RFK excluded - had not been told the files were going to be released on Tuesday after Trump declared the would be 'interesting' for Americans read.
And aligning with his nonsensical social media presence, Schlossberg was sure to share a satirical statement about the files.
'WHAT THE JFK FILES SAY ABOUT ME IS NOT TRUE IM STRAIGHT,' the Vogue political correspondent humorously wrote - as there was obviously no mention of Schlossberg in the documents.
According to a statement from the White House, the declassification of the JFK files is part of an executive order to share the 'truth' about the assassinations of JFK, Robert F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr.
'The Executive Order establishes the policy that, more than 50 years after these assassinations, the victims’ families and the American people deserve the truth,' the statement reads.
