Three people killed after helicopter crashes in Los Angeles

Three people have been killed after a helicopter crashed in Los Angeles near the scene of a fatal bus accident, officials have said.

Another person was taken to hospital in an unknown condition, the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

It was not immediately clear whether some of the victims had been on the helicopter.

Captain Branden Silverman, a spokesman for the LA Fire Department, said the aircraft crashed into a car park, causing a fire to break out.

Earlier in the day, two people were killed and six others were injured after an SUV crashed into a bus.
