John F. Kennedy's Granddaughter Tatiana Schlossberg Dead At 35 -- Details

Tatiana Schlossberg — journalist, author, daughter of Caroline Kennedy and granddaughter of President John F. Kennedy and his wife Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis — has passed away at just 35 years old according to her family in a social media post on Tuesday.

So sad…

The loss is being felt not just inside one of America’s most storied families, but across the worlds of journalism, politics, and public service where she quietly made her mark. Tatiana wasn’t a celebrity in the flashy sense. Instead, she built a serious career as a writer, contributing to outlets like the New York Times, The Atlantic, the Washington Post, and Vanity Fair.

The JFK Library Foundation confirmed the heartbreaking news on Tuesday, sharing a simple and devastating message that said it all:

“Our beautiful Tatiana passed away this morning. She will always be in our hearts.”

While no official cause of death was stated, previous reports indicated Tatiana had been diagnosed with leukemia in May 2024.

In an essay written after her diagnosis, she reflected on the shock of it all by noting how healthy and active she had been by running long distances through Central Park and even swimming across the Hudson River to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society — the irony of which is now so painful.

Tatiana is survived by her husband Dr. George Moran, their two children Edwin and Josephine, her siblings Jack and Rose, and the rest of a very public family that has already known so much grief.

Ugh. Thirty-five is far too young. May she rest in peace.
