Kim Kardashian took the stand this week to deliver harrowing testimony about the 2016 armed robbery she experienced while in Paris for Fashion Week—an incident she says left her certain she wouldn’t survive.

On Tuesday (May 13), Kardashian appeared in court to recount the traumatic night she was robbed at gunpoint inside her suite at the No Address Hotel. The attack, which occurred in October 2016, involved two masked men who posed as police officers and gained access to her private room. Over $10 million worth of jewelry was stolen, including her $4 million engagement ring from then-husband Kanye West.

Kim testified that she was initially confused when the men entered her room, only realizing the danger she was in when she saw the hotel concierge—who had been forced to lead the robbers to her room—standing in handcuffs.

“I said to the concierge, ‘I have babies. Tell them, I just have to make it home',” Kardashian recalled.

When Judge David De Pas asked whether she believed she would die that night, Kardashian responded, “I did think I was going to die.”

She went on to describe the terrifying moments that followed. The robbers threw her onto the bed, leaving her naked and vulnerable under a robe.

“I’m naked, and my everything is exposed,” she said. “I was sure that I was going to be raped.”
Simone Harouche, a close friend of Kardashian's who was also staying at the hotel that night, provided additional testimony. She recalled discovering Kim in a severely distressed state following the attack.

“To see my friend with her feet taped, her bathrobe—just a very light robe with nothing under it—all messed up and pulled, I obviously thought she could have been raped or very violated,” Harouche said. “She was beside herself. I’ve never seen her like this before.”

“She just kept screaming, ‘We need to get out of here. We need help. What are we going to do if they come back? We may need to jump out the window or hide in the first floor.’ She was just thinking: ‘How are we going to be safe? How are we going to survive?’”

The emotional testimony sheds new light on the traumatic experience Kardashian has spoken about in interviews, but never before with such specificity in a legal setting. The trial continues as suspects face justice nearly a decade after one of the most high-profile celebrity robberies in recent memory.
