Katsina 2027: Radda emerges as APC governorship candidate

The affirmation exercise was held on Thursday at the People’s Square in Katsina.
Chairman of the APC Electoral Committee from the party’s national headquarters, Yakubu Maccido, supervised the exercise.
According to him, the governor secured endorsement through a voice vote by delegates and party supporters.
“The affirmation followed a unanimous agreement among stakeholders in the state,” Maccido said.
He added that the outcome reflected the collective resolve of party members to maintain unity and strengthen the party ahead of the next general elections.
He added that the exercise was conducted peacefully and in line with the party’s guidelines.
“While some states experienced tension during the process, Katsina distinguished itself through unity, discipline and effective leadership under Governor Radda,” he said.

The affirmation further strengthens Radda’s position within the party ahead of preparations for the 2027 governorship election in the state.
