ADC: Mark, Aregbesola, others emerge as interim leaders

A former President of the Senate, Senator David Mark; ex-governor of Osun State, Rauf Aregbesola, and others have been appointed as the interim leaders of the African Democratic Congress, the platform opposition politicians are aiming to use to unseat President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 elections.

While Mark was named as the Interim National Chairman, Aregbsola emerged as the Interim National Secretary, and they will be inaugurated on Wednesday.

Others appointed include Chief Anayo Arinze as Interim Deputy National Chairman (South); Alhaji Ibrahim Manzo, Interim Deputy National Chairman (North); and a former Minister of Sports, Bolaji Abdullahi, as Interim National Publicity Secretary.

A former National Publicity Secretary of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Kola Ologbodiyan, confirmed the development on his X handle.

According to available information, the appointments were made after a meeting of the coalition on Tuesday in Abuja.

It was learnt that the newly constituted leadership will be formally unveiled in Abuja on Wednesday (today).
