Building collapses in Abuja hours after sealing
by Adeola Balogun · The Eagle OnlineLere Olayinka, media aide to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has confirmed the collapse of a three-storey building in Wuse Zone 4, Abuja, at about 7:00 p.m on Monday.
Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant to the Minister on Public Communications and Social Media, who confirmed the incident in a statement in Abuja, said that rescue operation is currently ongoing.

He added that the officials of the FCT Fire Service were at the scene along with ambulances for emergencies.
Although no details were provided yet on possible casualties, the spokesman disclosed that the FCTA Development Control had earlier sealed up the building in the early hours of Monday and asked the occupants to vacate the premises.
