What President Tinubu told Wike, Fubara at peace meeting
by The Eagle Online · The Eagle OnlineMore details have emerged on what President Bola Ahmed Tinubu told the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, and the Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, during the peace meeting he held with them on Sunday.
As earlier reported by The Eagle Online on Monday, the peace meeting, called by Tinubu, was held at the State House, Abuja.
Presidency sources told The Eagle Online that the President instructed Wike and Fubara on the steps he wants them to take to resolve the face-off among them.
For Fubara, Tinubu was said to have reprimanded him for the poor management of stakeholders in Rivers State and being disrespectful to Wike.
He told him to abide with the terms of settlement earlier agreed on.

He also said it was improper for the governor to be running a government without commissioners and the input of the Rivers State House of Assembly.
To all of these, Fubara “promised to change course and carry everyone along”, a Presidency source confirmed to The Eagle Online.
The President was also said to have told Wike to allow governance to take root in the state.
He equally demanded that the FCT Minister stop the move to impeach Fubara.
As earlier reported, Wike and Fubara left the Presidential Villa in the same car.
They were said to have gone to the residence of Wike in the FCT.
