2 Israelis killed in shooting near West Bank–Jordan border crossing

CAIRO – 18 September 2025: Two Israeli men were fatally shot on Thursday near the King Hussein Bridge border crossing (Allenby Crossing), a key border point between the Israeli-occupied West Bank and Jordan, according to the Israeli military and emergency responders.

The Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency service said the victims were around 20 and 60 years old.

In a statement, the Israeli military said the attacker arrived in a truck from Jordan and opened fire in the vicinity of the crossing.

Security forces at the scene responded immediately, fatally shooting the assailant, the military added.

Jordan’s public security announced a short while ago that the bridge was closed from the Israeli side only, confirming that the operation was carried out outside Jordanian borders.
