President El-Sisi Congratulates Mark Carney on Swearing-in as new Prime Minister of Canada

CAIRO – 15 March 2025: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi congratulated Canadian economist Mark Carney for swearing-in as the Canadian Prime Minister.

“I extend my earnest congratulations to Mr. Mark Carney on the occasion of his swearing-in as Prime Minister of Canada. I convey my sincere wishes for his success in fulfilling the responsibilities inherent to his esteemed position,” said President Sisi.

The President added: “I look forward to engaging in collaborative efforts to enhance the historic cooperative relationship with the friendly country of Canada.”

Mark Carney was swaorn in on Friday, replacing the outgoing Justin Trudeau. Carney was the former governor of the Central Bank of Canadan.
