Two people are dead and six hospitalized after a shooting at Florida State University on Thursday. NBC News is reporting that the suspect is the 20-year-old son of a sheriff's deputy who had access to the deputy's weapon.

As the aftermath of the shooting unfolded, an FSU student called out two people in particular during an interview. The clip has three million views on X. "I’m gonna call on like, you know, Governor Ron DeSantis, the president, Donald Trump, for you know — this stuff keeps going on right?" the student posed.

Reporters asked Donald Trump about the shooting, and he said, "These things are terrible. But the gun doesn't do the shooting, the people do."
