Israel bombs European Hospital in Gaza on eve of US ceasefire talks – POLITICO

Coordinated Israeli bombing of the European Hospital in Gaza killed 28 people on Tuesday in what local media reported as an attempt to assassinate Hamas leader Mohammed Sinwar.

The attack came as Israeli officials face pressure from the United States to agree to a ceasefire and hostage release deal, with President Donald Trump touring the Middle East.

Hamas on Monday released an American hostage after negotiating directly with the U.S. — sidelining Israel — in what Trump called a “good faith step” toward ending the war.
