Trump threatens to abandon Ukraine ceasefire talks – POLITICO

President Donald Trump said the United States could walk away from negotiations to end the Russia-Ukraine war, echoing warnings from Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

If either side continued to block the ceasefire process, the U.S. would stop facilitating a peace deal, Trump said Friday at a press conference in the Oval Office — without clarifying if he thought it was Russia or Ukraine which were hampering talks.

“If for some reason one of the two parties makes it very difficult, we’re just going to say ‘you’re foolish, you’re fools, you’re horrible people’ and we’re going to take a pass,” Trump told reporters.
