Peter Obi Visits Gov Eno Ahead Of Wife’s Burial

Former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, has commiserated with Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno, over the death of his wife, Patience Eno.

Peter Obi said the death of Mrs. Umo Eno was a great loss to the Governor, the children, Akwa Ibom and the nation.

The former presidential candidate of the Labour Party prayed to God to grant the family fortitude to bear the loss of the late First Lady.

On his X handle, on Wednesday, Obi wrote, “I made a very solemn trip to Uyo, the Akwa Ibom state capital, to personally pay my last respects to the beloved wife of the Governor and First Lady of the state, Pastor Mrs. Patience Eno.

I also used the occasion to offer my condolences to the Governor of the State, His Excellency Pastor Umo Eno, over the heartbreaking loss of his beloved wife.

“In moments of grief like this, words often fail us, but I hope the governor, his family, and the people of Akwa Ibom would find solace in the outpouring of love and support from all who share in their sorrow.

“On behalf of my wife, Margaret, and the entire Obidient family, I extended our heartfelt sympathies to His Excellency, his family, and the people of Akwa Ibom State.

“We stand with you in prayer, trusting that God will grant you the strength and fortitude to navigate these difficult times.”

Naija News reported that Governor Eno declared Friday, 29th November, a work-free day in Akwa Ibom in honour of his wife’s burial.

He said the work-free day was to give people of the state the opportunity to pay their last respects to the late First Lady of the State.
