Conor McGregor pictured with Nigel Farage at Donald Trump rally ahead of inauguration

Conor McGregor has been pictured with Nigel Farage after jetting into Washington DC to attend Donald Trump's inauguration.

The president-elect will be sworn in to his second term in the White House on Monday, eight years after he first took the oath of office.

McGregor was photographed smiling and shaking hands with the British MP and leader of Reform UK at Mr Trump's pre-inauguration rally on Sunday.

Farage uploaded a photo of the pair together, commenting on it: "We are so back. @thenotoriousmma." McGregor responded to it by writing: "Let’s go!"

Former two-weight UFC champion McGregor jetted out to America from Dublin Airport on Saturday with his long-time coach John Kavanagh.

Sharing a photo on X after landing in the American capital, McGregor wrote: "Just landed in Washington DC to witness @realDonaldTrump become Double Champ!"

Kavanagh shared a photo of himself and McGregor before bording a private jet, commenting on it: "Will be a memorable birthday! Heading to the inauguration with the champchamp, thanks for the invite @thenotoriousmma we've had some memorable Jan18ths!."

Mr Trump spent the eve of the inauguration at a rally, where he declared his supporters had “built a new American majority that will lead our country to success for generations to come”. Supporters of Mr Trump filled the Capital One Arena for the pre-inauguration rally.

“Tomorrow, at noon, the curtain closes on four long years of American decline, and we begin a brand-new day of American strength and prosperity, dignity and pride,” Mr Trump told supporters.

He added: “We not only won a mandate, but we built a new American majority that will lead our country to success for generations to come.”
