A man has been charged in relation to the death of William Moorehouse in a playground in Bray last January.

Kris Kiggins of no fixed abode, appeared before Bray District Court this morning charged with violent disorder and production of an article capable of inflicting serious injury.

William Moorehouse was injured in an incident on Bogall Road near a playground in Ballywaltrim in Bray on the evening of January 19 last and later died from his injuries.

Det. Garda Ryan O'Neill told the court he arrested the accused at Bray Garda Station this morning (Thursday). When charged the accused made 'no reply' when the charges were put to him.

Barrister Seoirse Fennessy, for the accused, made an application for bail.

Gardai objected to bail given the seriousness of the offences.

Refusing the application for bail, Judge David Kenedy remanded the accused in custody to appear before Bray District Court via video link on May 1 next.

Two men and a teenager have earlier appeared before Arklow District Court in connection with the death of Mr. Moorehouse.

One of the three, Patrick Fitzpatrick,(33), of Old Court, Bray, Co. Wicklow, was charged with his murder.

James Fell (24) from Fassaroe, Bray, and the teenager, who cannot be named as he is a juvenile, were both charged with production of articles likely to cause harm and violent disorder.
