Donald Trump's brutal Oval Office spat with Volodymyr Zelensky cost US military

by · Irish Mirror

Donald Trump's fiery exchange with Volodymyr Zelensky in the Oval Office has resulted in the US military losing a key fuel supplier. The heated face-off between the US President and the Ukrainian leader, which was broadcast globally on Friday, saw Trump accusing Zelensky of being "disrespectful" and "gambling with WW3".

This led to the Ukrainian president being ejected from the White House, and a deal to swap mineral rights for additional US military support was put on hold. Following this, petrol giant Haltbakk Bunkers announced it would cease selling fuel to US forces in Norway due to the treatment of Zelensky, stating: "No fuel to Americans."

The Norwegian company posted on social media: ""We have today been witnesses to the biggest s***show ever presented "live on tv" by the current American president and his vice president.

"Huge credit to the president of Ukraine restraining himself and for keeping calm even though USA put on a backstabbing tv show. It made us sick. Short and sweet. As a result, we have decided to immediate STOP as fuel provider to American forces in Norway and their ships calling Norwegian ports.

"No Fuel to Americans! We encourage all Norwegians and Europeans to follow our example. SLAVA UKRAINA" Meanwhile, the company's owner, Gunnar Gran, told Norwegian maritime news site Kystens Næringsliv that "not a litre of fuel" will be delivered "until Trump is finished," reports the Mirror.

The owner made it clear that since Putin's aggressive move on Ukraine, their group has shunned Russians, stating: "It gave a lot of our competitors a lot of extra revenue. We lost a lot of revenue. But we have a moral compass. Now the United States is excluded based on their behaviour towards the Ukrainians."

In an immediate response, they've slapped a fuel ban that comes into effect right away for ships docking at Norwegian harbours.

Stateside chatter reveals that Trump was toying with the idea of cutting off all support to Kyiv following a tense sit-down where he and his VP, JD Vance, locked horns with Zelensky. Yet, Europe's top brass quickly circled the wagons in a united front for Ukraine, while British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer played diplomat, engaging both presidents in telephonic dialogue.
