Former CM Champai Soren, who jumped ship from JMM to BJP, is leading in Seraikela. Meanwhile, BJP Jharkhand unit president and the state’s first chief minister, Babulal Marandi, is leading by over 10,000 votes in Dhanwar.

Pollsters’ prediction and past Assembly results: The exit polls have predicted a neck-and-neck battle between the JMM-led alliance and BJP in Jharkhand. In 2019, the JMM-led alliance emerged victorious in 47 seats, placing itself comfortably above the majority mark, while the BJP bagged 25 seats.
