US President Donald Trump used a Republican convention in Dallas to rally support for his party ahead of the November elections, urging voters to treat the contest as if he were on the ballot. Trump warned that a Democratic victory would hurt the country and urged Republicans to back his party in key House and Senate races.

US President Donald Trump on Wednesday, September 9, warned Iran against activity at Pickaxe Mountain, saying the US would “hit them very hard” if necessary. In a speech at the ‌midterm Republican convention, Trump said, “We notice there’s a little activity at Pickaxe. I would advise Iran not to get cute because we will have to hit them very hard.”

Pickaxe Mountain, near the Natanz uranium enrichment facility, is a fortified site with two deeply buried tunnel complexes. Trump has threatened to strike it since at least mid-July.
