Bawumia’s recovery work has made election 2024 competitive— Solomon Nkansah

by · MyNewsGh.com

Former propaganda secretary for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Solomon Nkansah, has indicated that the NDC has allowed Bawumia to recover massively.

He argues that as of April this year, the election was for John Dramani Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

However, after Dr Mahamudu Bawumia moved from Accra to the grounds, he has been able to recover massively and has made the 2024 election very competitive.

“In this election, naturally, the NDC was in a comfortable lead as of April this year. Bawumia has done enough recoveries. If you look at the 2024 election, it is an election NDC should not ordinarily lose because it is our change over season as Ghanaians.

What has made the change over very difficult is that the NPP has staged serious work to retain. The work of the NPP has been in two folds, One on Parliamentary and one on Presidential. NPP has seven major campaign teams and smaller campaign groupings,” he said on Accra-based OKAY FM.

Kennedy Agyapong is on a solo campaign mission. He is not only in the Central region; he is going to regions where the NPP is sure of winning but needs to do some work because Bawumia cannot go there.

Their national chairman is in Bono and he has not left there. He comes to Accra for small engagements. They have seven strong campaign teams and numerous manifesto implementation campaign teams, so is the NDC. NDC has five strong campaign teams and some underground intelligence works they are doing. That is why this election is one of the strong, highly contested elections,” he told Afia Pokua on Okay FM.
