Mahama scraps Information Ministry

The President by an Executive Instrument announced that he has reduced the number of Ministries from 30 to 23.
This means some ministries have been merged while others have been scrapped.
Missing in the list is the information Ministry which in the past was the official mouthpiece of the government.
MyNewsGh.com sources say the government intends to have the Communications Directorate of the Presidency handle all matters on Information dissemination.
Other missing ministries include Ministry of Sanitation, Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, Ministry of Monitoring and Evaluation, Ministry of Procurement.
