Galamsey Fight: We won’t give up; we shall win the fight—Mahama assures Ghanaians

According to him, although it is a difficult thing to do, his government does not intend to give up on the fight anytime soon.
Rather, they will continue the fight to ensure that water bodies and forest reserves of the country are protected.
The president made this known while addressing a cross-section of Ghanaians in the United States of America.
“I can assure you, we will not give up; we will continue the fight, and I am certain and committed that we shall win that fight against illegal mining,” he said.
The president further indicated that the fight against illegal mining has become very expensive, as soldiers now have to pitch camp in forest reserves where illegal miners are sacked, but insisted that the cost involved will not deter his government from winning the fight.
