Court impeaches South Korean president Yoon Suk Yeol
· RNZSouth Korea's President Yoon Suk Yeol has been impeached by the country's constitutional court.
Justice Moon went through the various factors which helped the judges to decide, including that Yoon went against the people he was supposed to protect and that his use of emergency powers was not justified.
Next, a snap election must be held within 60 days of the ruling.
Thousands of cheering crowds began flooding the streets of the capital Seoul after the decision, with some supporters of Yoon were seen crying after the news.
