Crews draped the whole arena in fabric and craned in a giant white staircase to build the castle inside. Outside, the block turned into a fortress: barricades, privacy tarps over the entrances, blacked-out SUVs slipping in, and cops working shifts as long as 30 hours in a heat wave.
A film and TV set company (Konduit NYC, the crew behind big-screen scenery) spent days transforming MSG into a fairy-tale environment, complete with a massive castle ringed by a garden.

The city signed off on street and sidewalk closures from July 2 through 4 for load-in, the event, and load-out. Cocktail hour starts around 4 p.m., the ceremony around 5:30, and the reception could run until 4 a.m. for a crowd of roughly 1,000 guests.

Security is its own production. NYPD, MTA, and Amtrak officers are posted around Midtown, some pulling 12 to 30-hour shifts, with Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch confirming a “detail in place.” Guests signed NDAs, entrances are tarped, and no photos from inside have surfaced.
