President Bola Tinubu has returned to Nigeria from his work vacation in France after cutting short his two-week break. The video of the president's return was shared by his special assistant, Dada Olusegun, on social media on Tuesday, September 16.

According to the presidency, Tinubu was welcomed back to the country by Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and the chief of staff to the president, Femi Gbajabiamila, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.

The presidency had earlier announced that the president would be cutting short his two-week vacation and would officially resume his duty on Tuesday, but Tinubu only landed in the country in the evening.

Kelechi Uche wrote:

"Very soon, the Chief Justice (CJN) will be going to see the president off or receive him whenever he's going outside or returning to the country. I mean, very soon. Because all the branches of government are working as one. They're less busy because they don't have work again."

Folu Sam wondered why some governors were not present to welcome the president:

"Where are Sanwoolu of Lagos and Uzodinma of Imo? They are always present at the welcome party. Meanwhile, what's Akpabio, the head of another arm of government, meant to check the executive arm, doing there? This is why Nigerians don't rate the 10th Senate."

David lamented the welcoming:

Tinubu condemned the welcoming style:

Akwa Ibom APC leaders visit Tinubu

Legit.ng earlier reported that President Bola Tinubu has played host to Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom and Senate President Godswill Akpabio at the presidential villa on Friday, July 18.

The presidency announced the visit in a tweet, adding that Governor Eno is now the leader of the APC in Akwa Ibom state.

Governor Eno recently dumped the PDP for the APC, becoming the second of his kind within two months.
