Genevieve Mbama asked Farouk Ahmad to step aside for the investigation to take place:

"As you advertised this. Make sure you keep us informed, too. But he must step aside to allow the investigation. This tax reform is not a joke. People can't spend hard-earned money in taxes, and some individuals use a pen to sign it off to private pockets. More than ever before, we will demand accountability. Public service is not where you become multi-billionaires. If you want to become one, go to the private sector."

Heavenly Grace said ICPC must make its investigation public:

"And make your findings public. This’s a public interest matter, and the public deserves to know how many houses and other assets this public servant has accumulated during his tenure."

AY posited that civil servants are more corrupt than politicians:

"A lot of Public and Civil Servants will be very uneasy with this development, they are the main characters of corrupt activities in this country, the politicians are novices compared to them. If we can reform the civil service and reduce its theft by 50%, the country will blossom."

Ifiok Davids said the fight is about Nigerians:

"This fight is not Dangote vs Farouk. It is Dangote vs the worms eating out the wealth meant for all Nigerians. This is a righteous cause to support."

Oduayo Talabi urged the commission to save taxpayers' money:

"Please do the job Nigerians (not the president) expect you to do and stop wasting taxpayers’ money."

Dangote speaks on Trump refinery claim

Legit.ng earlier reported that Dangote debunked viral claims suggesting that United States president Donald Trump is unhappy with the operations of the Dangote Refinery in Lagos, Nigeria.

The billionaire industrialist described the narrative as baseless, insisting that facts on the ground tell a very different story.

Dangote said the speculation circulating on social media does not align with commercial realities, noting that the United States remains one of the refinery’s key crude oil suppliers.
