Three-vehicle crash closed A9 near Blair Atoll for nearly two hours

The A9 was closed in both directions for nearly two hours near Blair Atholl after a three-vehicle crash.

Emergency services attended to the incident in the Calvine area shortly after 2pm on Friday.

The road reopened under a stop/go system while vehicle recovery was ongoing.

According to Traffic Scotland “major delays” were reported.

Traffic Scotland confirmed the road had fully reopened just before 7.20pm.

It is unknown if there were any injuries following the crash.

A spokesperson for Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We got a call from Police Scotland at 2.09pm to attend a crash on the A9 north of Calvine.

“This involved two cars and a campervan.

“We sent three appliances and a specialist unit to the scene.

“They have now left.”

Police Scotland confirmed it attended the scene.
