Class 3 boy hits KG girl with stone, flowerpot, drags her around in Haryana school

A KG student suffered severe injuries after a Class 3 student attacked her with stones and a flowerpot inside a school in Haryana. The girl was rushed to a hospital and later referred to Chandigarh’s PGI hospital due to her critical condition. The reason for the attack is still unknown.

The incident took place at Sanskriti Model School in Panchkula. The Class 3 student first attacked the girl with stones and later picked up a flowerpot and used it to hit her on the head. The boy then continued assaulting her inside an empty classroom, repeatedly banging her head.

The assault continued even after the girl lost consciousness. The boy then dragged her around the school premises by her hair.

Sources further told India Today that the boy had taken the girl to the first floor of the school building on the pretext of letting her meet her father. However, as the two reached the first floor, he allegedly started assaulting her.

Following the attack, the girl was taken to the Civil Hospital in Sector 6. After initial treatment, doctors referred her to the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) in Chandigarh, considering the seriousness of her injuries. Her condition is currently reported to be critical.

POLICE LAUNCH PROBE

After receiving information about the incident, a team of police from the local police station reached the school and started investigating the matter.

Presently, the police are questioning the school management to establish the circumstances surrounding the attack. The parents of the boy involved are also being questioned to understand what led to the incident.

The incident has raised serious concerns about the safety of children inside school premises and the monitoring arrangements maintained by the school administration.
