A 64-year-old man, Rohit Kumar, was found dead in his home in Delhi.

According to the Delhi Police, the incident came to light after a car cleaner knocked on Kumar's room seeking keys but did not get any response.

When Kumar's son living in the next room opened the door, he found his father lying on the floor, police said, adding that nothing was stolen from the room.

"Prima facie, it seems to be a case of pre-planned murder. The role of everyone is being verified," a Delhi Police official said.

After the incident, a complaint was filed by Kumar's son following which an FIR was lodged under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

Several police teams have been constituted by Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Ankit Chauhan to arrest the accused involved in the case.

A forensic team of Delhi Police inspected the spot and found blood stains and footprints on the floor. The police team also scanned the CCTV to get input about the incident.
