President Droupadi Murmu gives nod to Waqf bill, after approval from Parliament

The Waqf Amendment Bill has received President Droupadi Murmu's assent, paving the way for it to become law. The government has issued a notification in the official Gazette regarding the President's approval. The bill, along with changes to the Mussalman Wakf (Repeal) Bill, was passed by both Houses of Parliament after heated discussions. The new laws will come into force once the Central Government issues notifications in the official Gazette.
