Prime Minister Narendra Modi emerged as a popular choice for photographs at the BRICS Business Forum in New Delhi on Friday as foreign delegates gathered around him for a group picture.

A video shared by the Government of India on X showed delegates approaching P Modi and asking him to pose with them.

“Can we have a picture?” one delegate asked.

“Yes, of course,” the Prime Minister replied, as others called out, “Please, Prime Minister Modi.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian were seen making way as the delegates assembled around Prime Minister Modi.

As the group arranged itself, PM Modi asked them to wait briefly before posing for the photograph.

The interaction then took a playful turn when the PM looked towards the women in the group and remarked, “You are lucky, so many ladies.”

“We are all so lucky,” they responded with laughter.

“Thank you,” PM Modi said as the brief interaction ended.

The moment offered a lighter glimpse of the engagements on the sidelines of the forum, which brought together leaders, business representatives and delegates from BRICS member countries.

PM Modi had a packed schedule at the summit on Friday. He addressed the BRICS Business Forum and held bilateral meetings with Putin and Pezeshkian.
