Arvind Kejriwal skips question on Kailash Gehlot leaving AAP, moves mic away
by India Today Video Desk · India TodayFormer Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday chose to stay mum on a question asked by the media regarding Delhi minister Kailash Gehlot's resignation from the party. As soon as he was asked to react to Gehlot's resignation by the media during his press conference, Kejriwal passed on the mic to Delhi MLA Durgesh Pathak, who was sitting to his right. Pathak then went on to say that the BJP hatched a conspiracy against Gehlot and exerted pressure on him through Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) raids, prompting him to quit the party.
Arvind Kejriwal and Durgesh Pathak were addressing the media in Delhi after welcoming former BJP MLA Anil Jha into the party fold. Earlier, Kailash Gehlot cited unfulfilled promises and recent controversies surrounding the AAP as reasons for quitting the party.
