Delhi Police have issued a lookout circular for Virendra Basoya, who is believed to have fled the country in connection with a Rs 5,600-crore drug bust.

Investigators have identified Basoya as the mastermind behind an international drug syndicate, with evidence suggesting he was responsible for sending the shipment of cocaine linked to the case.

Basoya’s involvement was also noted in a previous drug seizure by Pune Police in 2023, where drugs worth Rs 3,000 crore were confiscated. He is reportedly close to Tushar Goyal, who was arrested earlier in connection with the drug racket.

The ongoing investigation into the Rs 5,600-crore drug network has revealed its vast international reach, with connections to cities such as London and Dubai. This information came to light following the interrogation of Goyal and other suspects.

During the questioning, Basoya, a resident of Sarojini Nagar in South Delhi, was identified as a key figure. He is alleged to be running a large drug syndicate from Dubai.

Goyal was arrested on October 2 following the recovery of more than 500 kg of cocaine and 40 kg of hydroponic marijuana, worth over Rs 5,600 crore, in a raid conducted in South Delhi.
