Haryana: Body of a young woman was found stuffed in a suitcase on the Rohtak-Delhi highway near the Sampla bus stand on Saturday. Commuters made the shocking discovery and informed the police.

Reportedly, the victim has been identified as 23-year-old Himani Narwal, a Kathura village resident in Sonepat. According to sources, Narwal was a Congress party worker who had been an active participant in different political activities, including Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra in Haryana.

Narwal was popular for her lively performances with Haryanvi folk artists during Congress rallies and social gatherings. Her mysterious death has shocked the community.

Police officials stated that Narwal’s body had visible marks of injury on her neck, indicating that she had been strangled. Forensic teams were called to the location in order to take evidence and CCTV footage is being checked to figure out when the suitcase was abandoned at the location.

“We think that she was murdered somewhere else and her body was placed in the suitcase and thrown here,” said the Sampla Police Station SHO Bijender Singh.

The police have booked unknown individuals under the relevant sections of law and are making efforts to identify the suspects and find out the motive behind Narwal’s murder.

Congress MLA Bharat Bhushan Batra said, “The accused should be given the harshest punishment. ”

The police investigation is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward and assist in the probe.
