Lucknow: Panic gripped among passengers after a bomb threat was reported on an IndiGo flight operating from Delhi to Bagdogra in West Bengal on Sunday. The aircraft was immediately diverted and made an emergency landing at Lucknow airport as a precautionary measure.

According to sources, all 230 passengers on board were safely evacuated following the landing. The aircraft was moved to a designated isolation bay, where a comprehensive security inspection was initiated.

Preliminary information suggests that the threat was discovered in form of a handwritten message on a napkin found inside the aircraft’s lavatory, claiming the presence of a bomb on board. A passenger who noticed the message promptly alerted a crew member, triggering standard security protocols.
