Major tragedy averted: High-speed tipper rams into house in Nabarangpur, Family narrowly escape

Nabarangapur: At least four people were injured after a sand-laden tipper truck rammed into a house in Pujariguda village under Kodinga police limits of Nabarangpur district late on Saturday night. The six family members of the house have narrowly escape from major tragedy.

The house has completely collapsed, leaving behind just rubble following the severe impact. The driver and helper of the tipper along with the six family members of the house were trapped inside the rubble as a wall collapsed upon impact.

Following the incident, Fire Service personnel and local villagers rushed to the spot and launched a rescue operation. Family members trapped inside the damaged house were later rescued from the debris.

Two members of the family, the father-in-law and his daughter-in-law, sustained serious injuries in the mishap. The driver and helper of the tipper truck were also injured in the accident.

All those injured are stated to be out of danger, and I will look into how assistance can be provided to the affected family.

All the injured persons were admitted to the Nabarangpur District Headquarters Hospital for treatment.
