Eight held in alleged Ram temple donation theft in Ayodhya

Ayodhya: Police has registered a case against eight persons for alleged theft of donations deposited at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, six of whom are temple employees.
The list includes Anukalp Mishra, Lavkush Mishra, Avinash Shukla, Manish Yadav, Subhash Chandra Srivastava, Karunesh Pandey. Ramshankar Mishra and Ramashankar Yadav.
The incident came to light during counting of donation money by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.
According to sources, preliminary enquiry found that money belonging to Ram Temple was misappropriated by some staff of the cash counting team.

Reports indicate nearly Rs 7 to 7.5 crore is missing.
On the basis of evidence obtained through inquiry and CCTV footage, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust gave complaint to the Ayodhya Police and registered a First Information Report.
Ayodhya Police have launched investigation to ascertain the total amount of money and involvement of others.
