OAS Association postpones Mass leave decision after assurance by CM

Bhubaneswar: The OAS Association met Chief Minister Mohan Majhi and after the discussion, the OASA has said that it is postponing the Mass leave decision after CM assured of strict action.
In protest of the brutal attack on BMC Additional Commissioner Ratnakar Sahu, the Odisha Administrative Service Association (OASA) decided to go on a mass leave from July 1.
According to sources, the OASA met Chief Minister Mohan Majhi over the issue. CM Majhi condemned the act and assured to take stringent action against the offender.
CM said, “No one is above the law and the offender should be punished. By now, three people have been arrested. Search is underway to catch the other accused.”
The OASA President and Secretary said, “Hon’ble Chief Minister met the association members for almost an hour at 11 PM today along with the CS, DGP, CP and the AG in attendance and assured us that the culprits and the perpetrators behind the scene, however powerful may be, shall be strictly punished as per stringent provisions of Law. Already 3 accused have been arrested and a hunt is on to nab the others. He also requested to not proceed on leave or take any such measures and appealed to have faith in him.”
He further added that, “Hence in reverence to the HCM ‘s appeal, the mass leave tomorrow is not called off rather is hereby postponed. However the state association requests all districts associations and members of the fraternity shall meet tomorrow and condemn the incident along with sending a copy of the resolution to the state association. Further course of action shall be intimated by the State Association.”
It is requested that all members of our fraternity to keep their morale high. The state association stands by each member like a rock and is ensuring all possible remedies that no such acts shall ever happen.
All other associations including the IAS/OFS/OSS associations and others has plegded their support to our cause.
On the basis of the assurance by CM Mohan Majhi, the OASA have called off their mass leave decision.
Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja and Police DG YB Khurania also had a discussion with the OAS Association.
