Cuttack, Sambalpur court receives bomb threat, security beefed up

Cuttack/Sambalpur: Security was tightened at court premises in both Cuttack and Sambalpur after bomb threats was received through emails.

The District Judge’s Court in Cuttack was immediately evacuated soon after an email threatening to blow up the premises was received. Police, along with bomb disposal and dog squads, launched a thorough search of the entire court. Entry and movement within the premises were restricted during the operation.

Similarly, a bomb threat email was received at the Sambalpur court, triggering a high alert. The police personnel along with an anti-bomb squad were deployed inside and around the court complex. A thorough search operation was carried out across the premises of the court.

Police have initiated an investigation to trace the source of the emails.
