Total of 208 Naxalites to surrender in mega event today in Chhattisgarh

Jagdalpur/Malkangiri: In a major development, a total of 208 Naxalites brought to police lines to surrender along with 153 weapons and undergo rehabilitation. According to reports with this, most of Abujhmad will be freed from Naxal influence, and the Red terror will come to an end in North Bastar. Now, only South Bastar remains, said reports.
It is also worth mentioning here that, more than 200 Naxals will surrender in Chhattisgarh today. The Naxals will surrender under the leadership of CPI Maoist Central Committee Member Rupesh.
It has been revealed that they will surrender before the Chhattisgarh Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister and DG of Police in Jagdalpur. For this, more than 50 armed Maoists have left the Kanker area of Chhattisgarh.
Dandakaranya Division Member Bhaskar and his fellow Naxals are crossing the river and forest roads to surrender. The Indravati River is flowing rapidly for the surrender of Naxals of Indravati Division and Mad Division. Strict security arrangements have been made by the police and BSF in this regard.
Last Wednesday, 61 Naxals surrendered under the leadership of Central Committee Member Bhupati Araf Venugopal in Gadchiroli, Maharashtra. However, it is said that this surrender to be held in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh will be the first big surrender in history. Hundreds of Maoists are gathering on the banks of the Indravati river to reach the district police office to surrender.

It is said that all the Naxals will be taken to Jagdalpur by bus. Although the exact number of people surrendering is not yet available from the police, according to information received from the state government, it will reach 170.
The active leader of the Mad Division is Rupesh. The government had announced a reward of over Rs 50 lakh in the name of Rupesh. Now that the Central Committee members are surrendering, other cadre Naxals and small cadre Naxals are also not choosing to stay in the jungle anymore. Maoist leader Rupesh has released his mobile number to his fellow Maoists to surrender.
