Petrol pumps to remain closed tomorrow due to Odisha Bandh

Bhubaneswar: Petrol pumps across State will remain closed tomorrow in view of the Odisha Bandh called by the Congress party, informed All Odisha Petrol Dealers Association President Shashank Shekhar Sahu.
As Congress party with the support of eight other political parties has called Odisha Bandh tomorrow, more than 3000 petrol pumps including 3 depots in the state will remain closed from 6 AM to 6 PM due to security reasons, Sahu said adding that the petrol pumps, however, will remain open if the government provides security,
There will be a loss of more than Rs 100 crore in business if the fuel station remains shut tomorrow, he mentioned
It is to be noted here that Congress party has called for an “Odisha Bandh” tomorrow in the wake of death of a 20-year-old BEd student of Fakir Mohan Autonomous College in Balasore, who had attempted self-immolation after alleging sexual harassment by her head of the department (HoD) Samir Sahu and subsequently died while undergoing treatment at AIIMS, Bhubaneswar.
